About Us

22Fairfield Food Services Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation and is one of 178 Meals on Wheels services in NSW. It began service to two clients in 1963 and has grown to providing support to over 250 clients per week, both in their own home and through communal dining.

Fairfield Food Services Inc. provides support to assist frail, aged and younger people with disabilities, to live independently in the community and to support the carers of these people. Fairfield Food Services does this by providing quality food services which meet the individual needs of each client. We are constantly striving to improve our services and welcome your feedback at any time.

Office hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3.00 pm. Messages can be left on the answering machine when phones are busy or after hours.

INDIVIDUAL CLIENTS

A friendly smile, a little chat, a nutritious meal and knowing that someone will drop by to say hello, changes lives of our clients and its not just the client who value this contact. Our volunteers will tell you reaching out and making a difference in someone’s day, makes their day.

Delivery of meals, social interaction and regular visits ensure a client’s well being and can help people live the lives they choose.

VOLUNTEERS – THE GIFT OF GIVING

Volunteers are crucial to the operation of Fairfield Food Services Inc. They help in the production and delivery of meals to our clients, as well as helping run the service by serving on the management committee. It’s not only clients whose lives are enhanced by Meals on Wheels, people who give time to Meals on Wheels say volunteering has added a new dimension to their lives. The satisfaction of doing something practical yet personal is reward in itself. No matter what an individual can offer, every bit of help adds up to a happier, healthier community.
