How do I become a volunteer?

Is there a selection process for volunteers?
Once we receive your initial offer of help, our staff will contact you to explain what we do and answer any questions you may have. Fairfield Food Services Inc. requires references, police checks, confidentiality and code of ethics agreement. These re designed to protect the clients whose homes you will be visiting.
How much time will it take?
The choice is yours. We are happy to take whatever time you can give us. New volunteers will receive an induction and we provide training on an ongoing basis for all volunteers.
What can I expect from volunteering?
You will experience the satisfaction of knowing you are making a difference in the community by providing a vital service. You will make new friends and learn new skills. There may be some challenging times but your involvement will have a significant impact in the lives of our clients as you will be the key contact that they look forward to each day. Fairfield Food Services also holds yearly social events to recognise the valuable contribution of volunteers.
